AOBTCo is a leading provider of services to the marine industry undertaking all kinds of ship, cargo, container and marine safety surveys. AOBTCo is licensed by Saudi Arabian Monetary Agency(SAMA) which authorizes the company to undertake both Non-Marine and Marine Surveys in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.


Established in October 1997, as ABTE, (Ahmed Badhidouh Trading Establishment), the company was reformed as a limited company AOBTCo (Ahmed Omar Badhidouh & Partners Trading Company Limited) in August 2000.

Our aim is to offer high standards of competitive and prompt services. AOBTCo provides:

  • Independent marine and engineering surveys
  • Marine and non-marine loss adjusting
  • Insurance risk and consultancy services

Ahmed Omar Badhidouh

CEO, Principal Shareholder and Surveyor

Ahmed started his Marine Surveying company (known as ABTE) in October 1997, with offices in Jeddah and Dammam, employing both Master Mariners and Marine Engineers.

Ahmed was the first registered Saudi Surveyor and has built up a solid reputation in the Marine market.

More recently, AOBTCo diversified into the Non Marine Loss Adjusting profession and has opened a fully staffed and dedicated Non Marine office in Riyadh, which complements the existing facilities in the other two branches in Jeddah and Dammam.

The company now has the capability to offer fully comprehensive "One Stop" Claims and Survey services throughout the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Our personnel have extensive experience and expertise in both Marine and Non-Marine claim investigations, and Pre risk surveys with our adjusters and surveyors comprising a Chartered Loss Adjuster/Chartered Insurance Practitioner, Chartered Accountant, Mechanical and Electrical Engineers, Master Mariners and Marine Chief Engineers.

Most of our professional staff as well as our administration and office personel, have at least 10 years experiance living and working in Saudi Arabia and other parts of the Middle East.

Captain Noor ul Qamar

Jeddah Branch Manager

Captain Qamar's shipping experience includes an 18 years period with Wallem Ship Management . During part of this time , he was Master on car carriers, as well as working on Panamax and medium sized bulk carriers, reefer carriers and general cargo ships.

He has been involved in handling various types of claim on behalf of most of the major P&I Clubs. Significant part of his work includes loss prevention surveys for all kind of vessels including oil tankers/ bulk carriers, supply vessels, tugs/ barges etc. Another area of his expertise is inspection of ISM/ ISPS compliance/ Safety equipment/ Firefighting/ emergency preparedness/ hull condition/ engine and machinery inspection/ MARPOL compliance/ MLC compliance etc.

He has carried out extensive work in accident investigations, casualties, groundings, salvage operations, damages to fixed and floating objects, damage to environment including oil pollution/ ecological damage , quality and quantity issues, bunker surveys, draft surveys, warranty surveys etc.

He has extensive experience in warranty surveys for heavy lifts loading/ discharging for various projects.

He has also handled many cases for H&M Underwriters for investigating the cause and loss assessment after accidents. The handling also included monitoring the repairs so that they are carried out efficiently and economically.

Capt Qamar is the lead auditor for the world’s second largest shipping registry Liberia in Saudi Arabia and has been involved in conduction external ISM/ISPS audits, MLC inspections and Annual Safety Inspections on ships & offshore since 2013. In addition he has performed inspections on behalf of Luxembourg and Antigua & Barbuda registries.

 

Muhammad Waseem Nazeer

Loss Adjuster

Waseem joined AOBTCo. Riyadh, as a Loss Adjuster during 2011 and holds a MBA (MIS), BCS, and BA. He is studying for the IFCE qualification.

Waseem has over 7 years practical loss adjusting experience with regard to claims in respect of fire, engineering and equipment, money, marine and goods in transit losses, together with pre-risk surveys.

 

Muhammad Qazzafi Intizar

Marine Surveyor

Muhammad Qazzafi Intizar joined AOBTCo. Jeddah, as a Loss Adjuster during 2012 and holds a MBIT (Finance) degree. He is studying for the IFCE qualification.

As part of the AOBTCo. Team, Qazzafi has been involved in handling various claims covered under marine and non- marine policies, which include inspections, loss assessments and adjustments etc.

 

Musawar Usman

Loss Adjuster

Mr. Musawar Usman joined AOBTCO, Dammam in August 2012, with a background of working experience as an “Independent Claims Specialist”. He is connected with this profession since 2007, and has good expertise in settlement of claims in Marine, Miscellaneous, Property Loss, Fire and Associated Risk. He is IFCE qualified.

He has methodical approach on work and able to understand the legal aspects of Insurance Policies, and has also been handling complex or contentious claims, on behalf of insurance companies in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

 

Muhammad Asad

General Cargo Surveyor

Mr. Asad joined AOBTCO, Jeddah in September 2017,he have experience in surveys of general cargo e.g. Motorbikes, Semolina, Furniture, Wood, Paper Reels, Accident, Machinery, Meat, Fruits, and Project Cargo Discharge Monitoring. Surveys, Inland Transit Surveys, Air shipments investigations at Airport.

Non-Marine Surveys (claims) learning process including, Pre-Risk Surveys & Fire Risk Surveys, Burglary Investigations, Fire Damaged Investigations, Flood Damaged Investigations.

 

Wajahat Abbas

Loss Adjuster

WAJAHAT joined AOBTCo. Riyadh, as a Loss Adjuster in January 2019 and holds Masters of Commerce (Insurance). He is IFCE & Cert. CII IF-1, IF-3 & IF 4 qualified.

WAJAHAT has over 09 years practical loss adjusting experience of handle Marine & Non Marine Insurance Losses. Miscellaneous Insurance Losses..
