Smoking Policy
- It is the policy of the organization that no one (including staff and visitors) is allowed to smoke anywhere in the premises other than the designated smoking area.
- Staff, visitors, contractors and any person inside the premises needs to adhere to the smoking policy of the organization. There is zero tolerance to violation of the policy.
- Security staff shall ensure that the smoking policy is enforced and all persons are requested to cooperate with the security staff.
- Persons who want to smoke may do so only in the designated smoking area which is located behind building 3 near the main entrance.
- Direction signs are shown at the main entrance for the smoking area. Direction signs should always be clearly visible.
- All smokers smoking in the designated smoking area must use extreme care to ensure that all cigarettes, matches etc., are safely extinguished and properly disposed in the bin earmarked for them.
- Smoking violation:
- Visitors: They will be asked to leave the premises. Safety Supervisor will contact the referring hospital for disciplinary action. Code Mr. Strong will be activated.
- Cash Patients: They will have to pay a penalty of SR 1000 for violating the policy. The penalty amount will be added to their billing. The penalty money will be dedicated to staff training.
- Employees: A copy of the smoking violation form will be sent to HR department. Disciplinary action will be initiated as per HR and labor law.
- Contractors: Any violator will be warned by the security officer and a letter will be sent to the company manager.
